Reasonably funny。 I'm a big admirer of Seth's writing though, so I guess I was expecting more。 Essentially a book about nothing。 Reasonably funny。 I'm a big admirer of Seth's writing though, so I guess I was expecting more。 Essentially a book about nothing。 。。。more

Very funny, great storiesFinished over two days
Miranda Berg,
For a book by Seth Rogen, this actually wasn't that bad。。 you can't expect a Pulitzer prize winner when you read it, but it is pretty good and some of the stories are absolutely hilarious。That being said, I was disappointed with the lack of talking about his films and behind the scenes。。 I was hoping to hear more about 50/50 & Superbad & Freaks and Geeks, but really there was nothing about them。 Basically was about weed, other various drugs, and being Jewish in Canada。 But like I said was still For a book by Seth Rogen, this actually wasn't that bad。。 you can't expect a Pulitzer prize winner when you read it, but it is pretty good and some of the stories are absolutely hilarious。That being said, I was disappointed with the lack of talking about his films and behind the scenes。。 I was hoping to hear more about 50/50 & Superbad & Freaks and Geeks, but really there was nothing about them。 Basically was about weed, other various drugs, and being Jewish in Canada。 But like I said was still hilarious。 。。。more
Robin,
Honestly this book is so funny I listened to the audiobook and it was GREAT。 Man does not hold back and he gets a lil serious too and drops some hot takes。 Good stuff 👍🏻👍🏻
Sarah Anderson,
Listen to the audiobook! Had me laughing out loud。
Mila,
I was so excited when it was announced Seth Rogen was writing a book。 As a teen it was his and Judd Apatow's comedies that I'd always look forward to, so I had high hopes that this would deliver and did it ever! Yearbook is an absolute riot。 Not one to laugh out lout at books, I spent most of the first half in hysterics。 I kept having to put it down to breathe as my uncontrollable laughter was disruptive to those around。 If you're a fan of his movies, you will get quite the kick out of this coll I was so excited when it was announced Seth Rogen was writing a book。 As a teen it was his and Judd Apatow's comedies that I'd always look forward to, so I had high hopes that this would deliver and did it ever! Rachelle,
It is absolutely no surprise, but this book is fucking awesome! I have loved Seth Rogen since I first saw him in Knocked Up, and was psyched when I found out he wrote a book。 This is funny as hell and has such a real down to earth storytelling vibe that it makes for a quick read! ❤
Bree,
I DID NOT KNOW HOW BAD MY SOUL NEEDED THIS。 Have I ever laughed this hard in an audiobook? No。 Please listen to this if you love Seth Rogen, it’ll be one of the top audios of your year I can promise you that。
Amy,
I’ve always loved Seth Rogen and I couldn’t wait for this to come out。 It made me laugh out loud at times, and I highly recommend the audiobook, which he reads himself。
Andrew,
Found this to be pretty delightful, especially when Rogen delves into some of his most compelling industry-related anecdotes。 The Nicolas Cage saga is especially endearing, and his clear-eyed recollection of the whole "The Interview" debacle is both sobering and weirdly heartening (plus it made me want to revisit that film to see if any of it actually holds up)。 Found this to be pretty delightful, especially when Rogen delves into some of his most compelling industry-related anecdotes。 The Nicolas Cage saga is especially endearing, and his clear-eyed recollection of the whole "The Interview" debacle is both sobering and weirdly heartening (plus it made me want to revisit that film to see if any of it actually holds up)。 。。。more
Victoria Martin,
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would。 I may be a bit biased because I’m obsessed with Seth Rogan and love everything he does。 This book was sooo good! It was hilarious and just what you’d expect from him! I love it
dani,
seth rogen reminded me how fun reading could be
JB Minton,
I loved this book。 I was already a Seth Rogen fan since Freaks N Geeks, and this book has confirmed to me that he has made it through the flames of fame and come out with his soul and his sense of humor completely intact。 This book secured his status as a comedian and writer whose art will only grow more meaningful over time。 Bravo!
Jason,
This book had a lot of hilarious stories in it and I thoroughly enjoyed laughing throughout。 I am not easily offended but if you are, this is likely not the book for you。 There is a lot of great adolescent foolery here and it reminded me of how far I've come in life and for that I'm grateful。 This book had a lot of hilarious stories in it and I thoroughly enjoyed laughing throughout。 I am not easily offended but if you are, this is likely not the book for you。 There is a lot of great adolescent foolery here and it reminded me of how far I've come in life and for that I'm grateful。 。。。more

Anyone who knows me, knows I’ve had a huge crush on Seth Rogan since sixth grade。 While I don’t usually read this sort of book as soon as he announced it on his Twitter I knew I needed to read this。 I listened to the audiobook which had a full cast which I really appreciated。 I found this book to be funny and delightful and I really enjoyed listening to this!
Jeremy,
Exactly what you would expect from a Seth Rogen memoir。 If you like Seth you will like this book。 If you dislike him "Yearbook" won't change your mind。 The stories are funny but also thoughtful。 He shares some truly hilarious and shocking celebrity encounter stories, which aren't always flattering to the celebrity in question, but Rogen is never mean spirited。 He writes a lot about Jewish identity, experimenting with drugs, developing as a tween/teen comedian, and a lot of ridiculous childhood s Exactly what you would expect from a Seth Rogen memoir。 If you like Seth you will like this book。 If you dislike him "Yearbook" won't change your mind。 The stories are funny but also thoughtful。 He shares some truly hilarious and shocking celebrity encounter stories, which aren't always flattering to the celebrity in question, but Rogen is never mean spirited。 He writes a lot about Jewish identity, experimenting with drugs, developing as a tween/teen comedian, and a lot of ridiculous childhood stories that are reminiscent of scenes from Superbad。 While the physical book has great photos, I strongly recommend this on audiobook, which is narrated by Seth, and many of the scenes are voice acted by the people who were there。 For example, Seth's actual dad voices himself on the book。 Jason Segel also voices himself。 And SNL's Jay Pharaoh does a lot of heavy lifting as an impressionist (I assume Jay did the amazing Kanye impression)。 Anyway Yearbook is not high art, but it's really engaging and makes for great summer reading。 。。。more
Jeffrey McCullough,
Pretty good by celebrity memoir standards, mostly because Rogen is a pretty funny guy with pretty funny stories。 Decidedly light reading though, with a bit to much emphasis on the same topics in different forms。 I would have liked more about Freaks and Geeks, Superbad, etc。 and less about him and his friends just broing out。 But worth the read。 Get the audio book if you can, love Rogens voice
Stefan Fergus,
A lot of fun。 Very Rogen。
Katt,
This book is hysterical! I love Seth Rogen and I could just envision all of his stories。 I literally had to pull off the road I was laughing so hard during one chapter! The audio book is narrated by him and has lots of really cool guests as well。 I could see this book done as a cartoon。。。。
Alejandro Dodds,
This was a really fun book to listen to。 Pure enjoyment。
Tracy,
Weepy ugly cry funnyAfter the horrible year of Covid, and 4 years of a nut in DC, its great to laugh out loud til you weep。 A must read for any person who craves sanity in an insane world!
damnjonesy,
Reading this felt very refreshing and cathartic。 Seth’s energy is contagiously relaxed and these little anecdotal stories bring you down to his tempo。 It felt like a combination of a lowkey standup set and a conversation with a friend after a long night of tripping。
Jon LeGris,
Rogen spills the Tea(HC) on a hysterical myriad of celebrity encounters; details his upbringing to hilarious effect, and skillfully ties together the chain of events that led him to where he is today: a devoted, lifelong fan and maker of movies; still honing his craft and his personal strain of humour to amusing and uplifting results。
Taylor,
I have admittedly been excited to read this one for months now, so I will say that I was probably going to like it no matter what, but it is so well written and true to Seth's voice, you can almost hear his laugh through the pages! I'll preface this with the fact that Superbad is my favourite comedy of all time, with Pineapple Express easily in the top 5。 If you're like me and appreciate reminiscing about high school struggles and good stories involving a little too much pot, then this is a must-read。 Seth aimlessly tells a series of stories that starts off very strong for the first half of the book but slows down later on while remaining interesting enough that I was motivated and entertained enough to finish the book wit I'll preface this with the fact that Superbad is my favourite comedy of all time, with Pineapple Express easily in the top 5。 If you're like me and appreciate reminiscing about high school struggles and good stories involving a little too much pot, then this is a must-read。 Seth aimlessly tells a series of stories that starts off very strong for the first half of the book but slows down later on while remaining interesting enough that I was motivated and entertained enough to finish the book without putting it down。Buy this book, roll one on its cover, and enjoy some funny shit without taking it too seriously。 。。。more

Warning: you might pee your pants while reading this book。*I like supporting good people, and I think Seth Rogan is a genuinely good person (and I enjoy his comedy), so I pre-ordered this book after reading a recent New York Times interview。 Then I promptly forgot about it and was surprised by the extra book on my Kindle this weekend。 I read it cover-to-cover in one sitting Sunday afternoon。** He's funny, of course, but what I like best about Seth Rogan is that he's an interesting, creative huma Warning: you might pee your pants while reading this book。*I like supporting good people, and I think Seth Rogan is a genuinely good person (and I enjoy his comedy), so I pre-ordered this book after reading a recent New York Times interview。 Then I promptly forgot about it and was surprised by the extra book on my Kindle this weekend。 I read it cover-to-cover in one sitting Sunday afternoon。** He's funny, of course, but what I like best about Seth Rogan is that he's an interesting, creative human who doesn't lay judgment about those around him。 He gets that we're all just figuring out our own shit。 From the art he creates to the causes he advocates for to every interview he gives, he just seems like a good person。 And that's rare in any line of business, but seems especially rare in entertainment。After reading, I ended up re-watching Pineapple Express and noticed the shoutouts to his own grandmother。 Only a good person would put that much effort into Easter eggs about his grandmother。If you enjoy comedy, or if you were born in the 80s and want to read some stories about a guy pretty much like the ones you hung out with high school, this book is for you。 *From laughter。 **Pro-tip: This book is easy enough to read in one sitting, especially if you minimize pesky interruptions。 If you're naturally or otherwise equipped for it, take a page from Seth and keep a Snapple bottle handy。 。。。more

Very funny! Love Seth。 I just wish it was longer。 I need more stories
Bob,
It's occasionally funny, but not dramatically more so than any other interview with him, either written or televised。 There's no overarching thematic arc (not that there needs to be, but there isn't) and there's definitely an emphais on "dude I was so f'd up" stories。 That's of course part of his unapologetic charm, but I found myself hoping for something a little more。。。 something。 Artful, profound, I dunno what。 He seems capable of that, but this collection feels fairly。。。 expected。 The recoun It's occasionally funny, but not dramatically more so than any other interview with him, either written or televised。 There's no overarching thematic arc (not that there needs to be, but there isn't) and there's definitely an emphais on "dude I was so f'd up" stories。 That's of course part of his unapologetic charm, but I found myself hoping for something a little more。。。 something。 Artful, profound, I dunno what。 He seems capable of that, but this collection feels fairly。。。 expected。 The recounting of his exchanges were Jack Dorsey were most interesting to me; I wished there was a little more of that side of him here。 。。。more
